Throughout my studies and experiences in the classroom, I compiled a teaching philosophy that is consistent with today's best teaching practice and uniquely personal to me.
I believe that every child who walks through my door has arrived with his or her own beliefs, life experiences, values, and personality. It is my goal to teach students by giving them more experiences in which they can discover and build their own understanding. Throughout this school year the students in my class will be developing physically, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and linguistically. My philosophy includes a holistic approach to teaching in which I promote the growth of development across all the domains. Students in my classroom will be working together often so that they have experiences to build social relationships as well as learn from each other. Learning will also be a result of hands on experiences in my classroom including: movement, art, singing, playing, touching, tasting, and observing. Finally, I am supremely confident that these children will bless and teach me as well as we go on this journey through Kindergarten together.
